about

Was written as a stand alone Christmas single but sonically I felt it belonged on the album. It's about the commercialization of Christmas & how it's so not about religion. If you listen carefully on the chorus you'll hear the cash register.

lyrics

Silent night hold me tight
Winter haze turns to brighter than bright
When we’re ready to believe
The snow starts falling
Lie away lay awake
There’ll be hell to pay for heaven’s sake
I pray The Lord my soul to take
There’ll be hell to pay for heaven’s sake
Silver bells kiss and tell
Give and take save yourself for the day
When you’re ready to receive
The sun is rising
Lie away lay awake
There’ll be hell to pay for heaven’s sake
I pray The Lord my soul to take
There’ll be hell to pay for heaven’s sake
There’ll be hell to pay for heaven’s sake
There’ll be hell to pay for heaven’s sake
There’ll be hell to pay for heaven’s sake
